CIVIL WAR CAVALRY CARBINE CARTRIDGE BOX J. DAVY - Carbine cartridge box manufacturer marked J. Davy & Co. Newark N.J. on the front flap. The box has a period field modification with the flap ends trimmed most likely to enable the trooper to more easily lift the front flap. The outer flap, latch tab, inner flap, implement pouch with flap and tab, belt loops and buckles are all present. The outer flap tab has a tear. A nice example of a box that saw a lot of use during the Civil War. In-house shipping is available.
