CIVIL WAR ENFIELD SERGEANTS' TOOL STAMPED T&CG - Civil War British No 4 Pattern 1859 Enfield Sergeants' tool. This non excavated example is complete and in excellent condition. The screwdriver is manufacturer stamped T & CG indicating that it was produced by the Birmingham firm of Thomas & Charles Gilbert. Consequently, this particular example was manufactured by 1862 at the latest as the firm of T & CG went out of business in 1862. The Confederacy imported a large number of these tools during the Civil War and many examples have been found in Confederate camp sites and trench lines. In-house shipping is available.
