RARE THIRD MODEL BURNSIDE CARBINE RIFLE NICE - BRAND: Burnside MODEL: Third model SERIAL: 3665 with breech block off slight and numbered 3784 CALIBER/GAUGE: 54 cal. CONDITION: Bore is good, action good as well. SIZE: 39.5” overall, 21” bbl. Notes: The 3rd model was the first with a forend, a barrel band, and a modified style hammer than those of the early 1st and 2nd versions. The 3rd model does look like the later 4th and 5th model carbines but differs in the 3rd had a solid, unhinged (pivoting) breechblock found on the 2nd model. This firearm is Pre 1898 or percussion, so no background check is required. You may pick up or we can ship directly to you. In-house shipping is available.
