Still has some bluing SIZE: 8” bbl NOTES: Left grip panel shows a weak cartouche reading OWA for government inspector Orville W. Ainsworth. Further sub inspectors initials include W marking to left barrel and on the cylinder, H to the loading lever, an asterisk in front of the loading lever stud, U struck beneath the right grip panel, and a D to the trigger guard. Barrel serial number reads 54458. Serial of this revolver dates it prior to the end of 1864. This firearm is Pre 1898 or percussion, so no background check is required.
