Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green and obscures the majority of the picture surface. There are minor retouches visible above and below the feather, as well as in the subject's helmet. Additional feathered retouching and strengthening in the subjects nose, cheeks, and chin, as well as in his hair at both left and right. Some strengthening to the subject's costume.
