## Chinese Model 53 Military Rifle 7.62 x 54R - MFG/IMPORTER: China/none MODEL: 53 SERIAL: 1402478 CALIBER/GAUGE: 7.62 x 54R CONDITION: Action good, bore good. SIZE: 21” bbl. NOTES: This is a 1955 Dated, Non-Import marked, Chinese military issue, Type 53 Carbine. The Type 53 is the Chinese copy of the Soviet M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbine. This example is in very nice condition with strong dark black finish on the receiver, barrel and trigger and trigger housing. The bolt and butt plate are bright finished. The stock has a dark finish. The side folding bayonet is not present. Carbine is a complete mismatch with scrubbed floorplate serial number and scrubbed bolt serial number. The bore is dark with strong rifling. This carbine exhibits all of the classic traits of a Chinese Type 53 Carbine that was sent to the Viet Cong. This carbine was most likely captured by a G.I. and brought home as a war trophy. Overall condition- Good. Serial #1402478, Caliber 7.62x54R. In house shipping available.
