WWII Nazi German Adolf Galland Typed Letter Signed (TLS) Knight's Cross Recipient - February 18, 1976 typed letter signed TLS from Nazi German Knight's Cross recipient and Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland. The letter was to sent to noted military historian and publisher, Roger James Bender. In this letter he is responding to questions regarding his military service in the Spanish Civil War. He addresses his service with the Legion Condor in the Spanish Civil War and details about his plane including that it and uniform. The letter is typed in English on Galland's Business stationery and signed on the second page. The stamped mailing envelope is also included. During WW2, Galland flew 705 combat missions and fought on the Western Front and in the defense of the Reich. He was credited with 104 aerial victories, all of them against Western Allies. Additionally, he flew 300 ground attack missions during the Spanish Civil War and 87 ground attack missions during the Invasion of Poland in WWII. He was a recipient of the Spanish Cross In Gold with Swords and Diamonds and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds. In-house shipping is available.
