The postcards are war time period, not later reprints. Each card measures 5.5” x 3.5625” (13.97cm x 9.04cm) This lot features; 1. Walter Gorn. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. This card was used as a feldpost October 4, 1943. paper loss on the reverse where it was removed from a photo album. Invasion of Poland, Battle of France, Battle of Netherlands, Invasion of Yugoslavia, Operation Barbarossa, East Prussian Offensive. Commander 561st Grenadier & 710th Infantry Division. 2. Rudolf Freiherr von Waldenfels. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. General commanded 6th Panzer Division 3. Julius Ringel. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. commanded the 3rd & 5th LXIX Corps, Wehrkreis XI and the Army Corps Ringel. 4. Wolfgang Spate. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Luftwaffe pilot with 72 victories. 5. Hans Strelow. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Luftwaffe Pilot with 68 aerial victories. Shot down May 22, 1942 near Mtsensk and committed suicide to avoid capture by the Red Army. 6. Gunter Halm. Knights Cross. Leutnant and, at age 19, youngest recipient of the Knight's Cross in North Africa. His award was personally presented by General Field Marshall Erwin Rommel.
