WWII Nazi German Hoffmann Real Photo Postcards RPPC of Knight's Cross Recipients - World War Two Nazi German Real Photo postcard lot RPPC of six Hoffmann, Munich postcards featuring recipients of the Knight's cross of the Iron Cross. The postcards are war time period, not later reprints. Each card measures 5.5” x 3.5625” (13.97cm x 9.04cm) This lot features; 1. Horst Niemack - Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. This card was used as a feldpost October 26, 1943. Niemack was a late war commander of the Panzer Lehr Division. 2. Joachim Kirschner - Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Luftwaffe pilot with 188 aerial victories. Shot down over Yugoslavia, captured by Yugoslav Partisans and shot by firing squad December 17, 1943. 3. Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Luftwaffe pilot with 174 aerial victories. 4. Otto-Tange. Knight's Cross. Luftwaffe pilot with 68 aerial victories. Shot down by anti-aircraft on July 30, 1943. 5. Karl Strecker. Knight's Cross. General - 11th & 17th Army Corps commander. Battle of France, Operation Barbarossa, Battle of Stalingrad. 6. Georg-Wilhelm Postel. Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Captured in Romania in August 1944, sentenced to 20 years hard labor and died in captivity in 1953. In-house shipping is available.
