WWII Nazi German Document Lot - Proof of Prisoner of War Deaths of Russian POWs - World War Two lot of 4 German pre-printed, completed documents titled Nachweiss uber Sterbefall eines Kriegsgefangenen (Proof of death of a prisoner of war) filled out for Russian soldiers. The information provided in the forms included the soldier's name, place of birth, relatives and their addresses, unit, location of POW camp and information on the dog tag, date and cause of death, ex. disease, accident, suicide, and place of burial. Each one of the forms offered here was from a different POW camp location including; Homberg in Saarland, Germany; Lviv, Lemberg in the Ukraine; Zweibrucken, Germany: and Baumholder, Germany. Three of the causes of death listed are disease, and the fourth is death from bomb shrapnel. These certificates were produced later in the war to help the Germans cover up deaths in camps from starvation and execution. Documents measure x and are in excellent condition.
