WWI Son In Service Flag - Banner with Soldier's Image Printed in Blue Star - Certainly one of the rarest ”Son in Service” flags in existence. Printed as part of the blue star is a bust view photograph of a middle aged United States officer. His collar discs are visible on his uniform as is the top of his Sam Browne belt. He is unidentified. The silk banner is attached to a wooden dowel rod and measures 19.5” x 12.75”. There are no holes tears or fraying. The fringe is complete and intact. There are a few small stains that we have not attempted to clean. Certainly a center piece to any ”Son IN Service” banner collection. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We charge $5/lot if you want to pick up a different day.
