WWI U.S. Liberty Bonds Poster - ”The Hun - His Mark Blot It Out With Liberty Bonds” - World War One Liberty Bonds poster featuring a bloody hand print with the slogan, The Hun - His Mark Blot it Out with Liberty Bonds. The Committee of Public Information commissioned this poster in 1917. It was designed by Chicago artist James Allen St. John. The poster measures 19.75” x 30”. The edges on the reverse were reinforced with a 1” wide strip of tape. There are no rips and only 4 pinholes, one in each corner from when the poster was originally displayed on a wall. Minor edge wear. Fold marks are still visible. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We charge $5/lot if you want to pick up a different day.
