Pre - WWI Imperial German - Prussian M1889 Infantry Officer Sword by E. F. Horster
Pre WW1 - World War One M 1889 Imperial German/Prussian officer's sword with scabbard. Sharkskin grips with triple braid wire wrap are in excellent condition. Blade ricasso is stamped E & F HORSTER SOLINGEN. The leather & felt on the guard at the ricasso is still in place. Washer remnants remain between grip and guard. Blade is untouched and shows wear to the chrome plating.. Scabbard has two dents but otherwise in very good condition and retains its original finish. Sword length is 37.25" with a 31.25" blade. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
