Pre WW1 - WWI Navy Naval Lionhead Sword with Etched Blade British, Italian - Pre WWI - World War One Navy sword. The hilt features a coarse white paint grip, lionhead with crown pommel, cross guard with anchor and crown. The rear section of the cross guard folds up. One half of the thin blade is etched on each side. The etchings include a coat of arms with a cross in the center of the shield (see photograph). The rest of the etchings are navy related or floral. Overall length is 38” with a 32” blade. .5” blade width at ricasso. No scabbard. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We charge $5/lot if you want to pick up a different day.
