A Parker Brothers Monopoly Set and a Milton Bradley Peanuts Game - A pair of vintage American board games including a mid-20th-century Monopoly set by Parker Brothers and a Peanuts-themed game by Milton Bradley. The Monopoly set consists of a smaller component box and a larger, black textured game board box. The smaller cardboard box features a printed label reading MONOPOLY, a Parker Trading Game, REGISTERED IN U.S. PATENT OFFICE, and Parker Brothers Inc. SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS NEW YORK CHICAGO MADE IN U.S.A. The larger box has a torn printed label with a visible U.S. PATENT 2,026,082. Interior components include paper currency, with the 500 bills bearing a printed mark reading COPYRIGHT 1935 BY PARKER BROTHERS Inc. Included are two tan wooden dice with black pips, green wooden houses, red wooden hotels, and metal tokens in the forms of a car, thimble, iron, and shoe. Paper Community Chest and Title Deed cards are also present. The Peanuts game is housed in its original red illustrated cardboard box. The lid is printed with Good ol Charlie Brown game, MILTON BRADLEY COMPANY SPRINGFIELD MASSACHUSETTS, DETERMINED PRODUCTIONS, INC. SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, and BASED ON THE CHARACTERS FROM AMERICA'S FAVORITE COMIC STRIP PEANUTS BY CHARLES M. SCHULZ. The game contains interlocking cardboard scenery pieces depicting Snoopy's doghouse and a landscape with a tree, alongside cardboard character standees of Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Snoopy fitted into colorful plastic bases.
