Set of Ten Griffith Laboratories Milk Glass Spice Jars with Red Carrier - A set of ten vintage milk glass spice jars housed in a matching red molded carrier. The rectangular jars are constructed from opaque white milk glass with rounded shoulders and fitted with screw-top metal lids originally finished in red paint. Each jar features an adhesive paper label in a distinctive T-shape format. The labels are printed in black and identify the contents as Purified Black Pepper, Purified Allspice, Purified Poultry Seasoning, Purified Ground Ginger, Purified Roast Meat Salts, and Purified Cinnamon. A more detailed rectangular label on the reverse of the nutmeg jar identifies the manufacturer as The Griffith Laboratories, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, and includes the text Purified U.S. Identification Pat. 2,107,697.
