Vintage Hutch Junior Varsity Football Shoulder Pads - A pair of mid-century junior-sized football shoulder pads manufactured by Hutch in Cincinnati, Ohio. The protective gear is constructed with red molded fiberboard exterior plates and an off-white quilted canvas padded interior. The two halves are joined at the front and back by brown braided laces through leather grommet strips. The shoulder caps are secured to the main body with leather hinges and metal rivets. The red exterior plate features a black stamped logo reading HUTCH inside a circular border containing the text CINCINNATI, U.S.A. To the right of the logo are the letters NS. The interior canvas lining bears a black ink stamp that reads LEE O CAUPP JR, 1347 ALMONASTER, NEW ORLEANS LA. The pads include integrated elastic underarm straps.
