Schatz Royal Mariner Ships Wheel Mechanical Bell Clock - A vintage German mechanical maritime clock featuring a ship's wheel design. The circular brass case is mounted within a dark-finished wooden wheel frame featuring eight turned spokes and brass collars. The cream-colored dial features black Roman numerals, a railroad-style outer minute track, and black spade-form hands. Two winding arbors are positioned on the lower half of the dial. An aperture near the 9 o'clock position reveals a regulation lever marked F and S for fast and slow adjustment. The center of the dial is marked with a printed script signature Schatz and the lower edge is printed with the word GERMANY. The rear of the brass housing features a small timing adjustment slot also marked S and F. The movement is an eight-day wind mechanical type, commonly associated with a ship's bell strike.
