The Franklin Mint 1988 Twenty Dollars Commemorative Medal - A silver-toned commemorative medal produced by The Franklin Mint. The obverse features a central ornate vessel design against a dark, textured circular background. A scallop shell is positioned at the top of the design, with the denomination TWENTY DOLLARS inscribed in a serif typeface around the perimeter of the central field. The outer rim is decorated with a raised, stylized scrollwork border. The reverse of the medal is not visible. The medal is housed in its original black textured cardstock holder, which is bordered by a double-line gold-toned frame and printed twice with the text THE FRANKLIN MINT in a serif font.
