US Two Dollar Legal Tender Note Series of 1928 F - A United States two-dollar Legal Tender Note, identified as Series of 1928 F. The obverse features a centered portrait of Thomas Jefferson within an oval frame, flanked by the red Treasury seal on the left and the large gray word TWO on the right. The serial number D52968183A is printed in red ink in two locations. The note bears the printed signatures of W. A. Julian, Treasurer of the United States, and John W. Snyder, Secretary of the Treasury. The top border contains the text UNITED STATES NOTE and the bottom center reads WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND. The reverse displays a centered vignette of Monticello, the estate of Thomas Jefferson. The note features two handwritten ink markings in the left field of the obverse: a top number reading 66 and a lower number reading 77. The currency is housed in a clear plastic protective sleeve.
