Vintage Mosaic Turquoise Chip Inlay Eagle Pendant Necklace - A vintage necklace featuring a Southwest-style mosaic chip inlay pendant. The oval pendant is constructed with a dark resin or stone base inlaid with irregular fragments of turquoise-colored stone. A metal silhouette of a bird in flight, resembling an eagle or hawk, is centered within the mosaic. The pendant is suspended from a metal cable chain by two circular jump rings. The necklace is secured with a barrel screw clasp. A metal component on the clasp is stamped with two lines of text: the top line reads PATENT and the bottom line reads 3427691. This patent number corresponds to a design for a jewelry clasp dating to approximately 1969. The metal shows a dark patina and significant surface wear throughout.
