Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Twelve Antique
An Assortment of Twelve Antique and Vintage Glass Apothecary and Utility Bottles and Jars - A collection of twelve glass bottles and jars, comprising clear, amber, and emerald green examples. The grouping includes machine-made and mold-blown forms typical of late 19th to mid-20th-century American household, apothecary, and stationery use. The lot features one large clear storage jar with a threaded rim; a variety of medicine bottles including rectangular, hexagonal, and tapered ribbed forms; an emerald green squat jar or inkwell; a clear square jar; and two amber glass vessels, one fitted with a perforated metal sprinkler cap. The bases of several bottles exhibit embossed markings, including circular symbols and various alphanumeric characters as seen in photo 3. These markings are not legible as specific maker names due to heavy mineral staining and surface wear. Storage jar height approximately 6.5 inches.
