British Virgin Islands 1985 Twenty Dollars Silver Proof Treasure Ship Coin Franklin Mint - A British Virgin Islands commemorative silver proof twenty-dollar coin struck in sterling silver (.925 fineness). The coin is housed in its original black textured presentation card which is printed with the white text THE FRANKLIN MINT along the top and bottom borders. The reverse of the coin features a three-masted sailing ship within a central shield, set above an intertwined VOC monogram for the Dutch East India Company. Two cannons on wheeled carriages flank the shield. The legend TWENTY DOLLARS is inscribed along the inner left and right borders of the shield. The coin exhibits a proof finish characterized by mirrored fields and frosted relief elements. The obverse typically features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
