Polished Banded Carnelian Agate Specimen Slice - This specimen is a circular, polished slice of carnelian agate, which is a translucent variety of chalcedony. The slab displays vivid concentric banding ranging in color from pale white and honey-orange to a saturated reddish-orange center. The piece features a primary central eye and a secondary smaller eye formation near the perimeter, linked to the main banding by a narrow vein of color. While the flat faces have been polished to a glossy finish, the outer circumference, or cortex, remains in its natural, unpolished state with a light brown, earthy texture.
