Vintage Spanish Lace and Pierced Plastic Folding Hand Fan with Painted Scenes - A vintage Spanish folding hand fan featuring a black lace leaf accented with gold metallic thread highlights. The leaf is decorated with two applied, hand-painted fabric panels depicting traditional Spanish motifs. One panel shows a matador with a red cape facing a bull, and the second shows a couple in traditional dress, likely flamenco dancers. Both painted panels bear the handwritten word Spain in the upper right corners. The frame consists of fourteen translucent amber-toned molded plastic sticks and two guards, all intricately pierced with scrollwork and floral designs. The guards and the upper portions of the sticks are further embellished with hand-painted floral accents in gold, red, and green.
