Imperial Glass Company Milk Glass Hen on Nest Covered Dish - This is a two-piece milk glass covered dish in the classic hen on nest form, manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company. The opaque white glass dish consists of a lid molded in the shape of a nesting hen with detailed feathering on the body and wings. The lid sits upon an oval base featuring a molded basketweave pattern on the exterior and a beaded rim. The exterior center of the base contains a raised maker mark consisting of a capital letter I superimposed over a capital letter G, identifying the piece as a product of the Imperial Glass Company.
