First edition. Shnei Luchos Habris - Shelah Hakadosh . Amsterdam 1648/1649. Early inscription and a number of handwritten corrections. Shnei Luchos Habris by Rabbeinu Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz - the Shelah Hakadosh, with the sefer Vavei Ha'amudim  by Rabbeinu Sheftel, son of the Shelah Hakadosh. First edition.  Amsterdam 1648/49. Originally: [3] 2 - 421 [1]; 44 pgs; 29.5cm. In this copy, Vavei Ha'amudim lacks a title page and pgs 17 and 20. This is a first printing of one of the most important classic works and one of the holiest books known among Jews everywhere. In the book  are a number of early handwritten corrections.  The title page features  a lengthy ownership inscription from the early 5400s (1640s): ” Achas sha'alti  from my beloved and loyal  mechutan, my right hand ... divrei ohavo mechutano...Avraham... ( or Gavriel?) of the holy community of Schweinburg.” Early half-leather binding. Binding is damaged. The front portion is detached and the back portion partially so. Foxing and somewhat wavy pages. Very few worming holes and tears. A few pages are slightly loose. Good condition. דפוס ראשון. ספר 'שני לוחות הברית' - של”ה הקדוש. אמשטרדם, ת”ח-ת”ט 1648/1649. רישום עתיק ומספר תיקונים בכ”י ספר 'שני לוחות הברית' מרבינו ישעיה הלוי הורוויץ - השל”ה הקדוש, עם ספר 'ווי העמודים' לרבינו שעפטיל בנו של בעל השל”ה הק'. מהדורה ראשונה. אמשטרדם, ת”ח-ת”ט 1648/1649. במקור: [3] ב'-תכא [1]; מד דף; 29.5 ס”מ. בעותק זה חסר שער לספר 'ווי העמודים', ודפים י”ז ו-כ' בספר 'ווי העמודים'. לפנינו הדפסה ראשונה של אחד מספרי היסוד החשובים ביותר ומהספרים המקודשים שנודעו בכל תפוצות ישראל. בתוך הספר מספר תיקונים עתיקים בכתב יד. בדף השער רישום בעלות ארוך משנות הת' המוקדמות: ”אחת שאלתי מאת מחותני אהובי נאמני איש ימיני... ....... דברי אוהבו מחותנו... אברהם.. (או גבריאל?) החונ' בק”ק שוויינבורג”. כריכה חצי עור עתיקה, הכריכה פגועה וחלקה הקדמי מנותק והחלק האחורי מנותק בחלקו. כתמים ודפים מעט גליים. מעט מאוד נקבי עש וקרעים. מספר דפים מעט מנותקים. מצב טוב.
