הגאון רבי עקיבא ורטהיימר [תקל"ח – תקצ"ח 1778/1838] נולד בברסלאו לאביו רבי אביגדור ורטהיימר. למד אצל הגאון רבי עקיבא איגר. כיהן כרב במויסלינג וליבק. מאוחר יותר עבר לכהן כרב באלטונה ושלזוויג-הולשטיין.
