19th Century Italian Carved Marble Bust - 19th Century Italian Carved Marble Bust by Cesare Lapina. Depicting an Orientalist maiden, skillfully hand carved by the renowned Florentine sculptor. Dated on backside 1884. The Woman is wearing a draped head scarf with ornate winged - sun / eagle crown, a coin necklace, and fine classical drapery across the bust. Comes on a painted light blue plaster column base. There is some paint chipping throughout and some surface wear. Minor loss to the marble bust. The bust measures 20 1/2 inches tall by 18 inches wide. The base measures 31 inches tall by 14 inches wide. All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of the sale.
