Antique 19th Century French Empire Restoration Gilt and PatInated Bronze Mantle Clock - Antique 19th Century French Empire Restoration Gilt and PatInated Bronze Mantle Clock. Greek War of Independence / Ottoman warrior with rearing horse. Has two tone sculptural Topper. The figure depicts a warrior in traditional Belkin / Greek dress holding the reins of a rearing steed over a battlefield scene with a downed sword and tree stump. The case features classical anthemion and acanthus leave scrollwork, egg and dart molding, and rest on scrolled bracket feet. The white enamel dial is framed with an applied Laurel wreath bezel and features black Roman numerals with twin winding arbors. Dial shows some hairline cracks/scratching and small chips. Missing rear bezel / door . No pendulum. The top figures are a little loose. Measures 22 inches tall by 12.25 inches wide. All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of the sale.
