Antique 1907 Lyon & Healy ”Own Make” Silver Plated Bb/A Cornet - Antique 1907 Lyon & Healy ”Own Make” Silver Plated Bb/A Cornet. Serial No. 7831. Manufactured in Chicago. Hand Engraved Bell with Mother of Pearl Valve Buttons. Includes tuning slide crook, lyre, and vintage cleaning rod. Also includes 2 mouthpieces - One marked Lyon & Healy and other stamped ”195”. Comes with 1913 Historical Photo Postcard from owner ”Uncle Bill” holding this same style cornet while playing in the World War I Band at Ashton, Illinois. Comes with original case. Cornet shows some plating loss and pitting - mainly by the valve casings. Case has normal wear for age. All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of the sale.
