US 1883-1975 Nickel Collection - A Collection of Coins comprising United States five-cent pieces spanning three major design series: Liberty Head (KM-112), Buffalo (KM-134), and Jefferson (KM-192). The lot is housed in four Whitman folders including Nos. 9007, 9008, 9009, and 9042. Included are the 1942-1945 wartime silver issues featuring large P, D, or S mint marks above the reverse building. Designers include Charles E. Barber, James Earle Fraser, and Felix Schlag. Wartime silver issues were struck in a 35 percent silver alloy to conserve nickel for military use during World War II.All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of the sale.
