Sawbridge. Pages 244-245 are misnumbered as 144-145. Vol. 1 with frontspiece engraving by Michael Burghers after T.C. ESTC n9570. Vol. 2 with separate title page with Minerva Londinenis' vignette, and having a partially illegible publication date and imprint reading: ”Printed by John Matthews, for George Sawbridge”. Half leather with marbled boards, leather spine with spine bands, gold embossed compartments with title and volume number, scrolled decoration, marbled endpapers. Approx. 5” x 7-3/4”. This item can be shipped in-house. Condition Overall wear to covers but secure spines/hinges. Shelf wear, bumped corners, rubbed marbling and other typical wear. Front end/fly pages loose or detached, vol 1 having had a bookplate removed and with a 1952 inscription, toning throughout with some staining to pages at the front and back of each, as well as loose pages. Handwritten annotations on the last page with possible corresponding brackets within the text. See images for details.
