German M1889 NCO Weyersberg Saber - German Model 1889 enlisted or non-commissioned officer's saber, overall length 32” with a 26-1/4” single-fuller blade. Ricasso is marked ”Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen”, a known military supplier of the Imperial and WWI eras. The hilt is asteel, with a swept guard and integral backstrap. Ribbed grip is grooved for traction and stamped with numbers, likely unit or rack markings. Includes original steel scabbard with fixed throat and single ring mount. Issued pattern used by German infantry NCOs circa 1890-1918, including in service during World War I.
