7 - Mercury Astronaut Trainer & Projection Screen Photographs - This is a set of photographs showing the huge projection screen used to simulate star patterns during flight in the Mercury Spacecraft Trainer. These vintage NASA photographs date from April 1963 and give a rare glimpse at the ways NASA tried to make training as realistic as possible. The photographs are in very good condition with some minor surface imperfections and light edge and corner wear. They measure 8” x 10”.
