UMBRIAN SCHOOL, FIRST HALF OF THE 16th CENTURY The Entombent of Christ Oil on canvas, cm. 101,5x117,7. Framed This beautiful painting is placed on the line of the representations of the Lamentation over the dead Christ, or of the Depositions in the sepulcher, made between Umbria and Tuscany between the end of the fifteenth and the first half of the sixteenth century. Here a mix of influences is evident that includes Pinturicchio, Sodoma and above all Pietro Perugino, declined however in a less stately register that refers to the hand of an updated petit maitre active in the central-Italian Apennine area.
