Bidspirit auction | Blackhawk Metal Badge - unidentified
Blackhawk Metal Badge - unidentified manufacturer - We have identified several companies that might have placed this on a machine, among them Blackhawk Specialities Co, Silvis, Illinois, a manufacturer of vending machines; Blackhawk Mfg Co, Milwaukee, a maufacturer of automotive repair equipment; and the 1934–1936 Elgin Blackhawk, which was built by Arnold, Schwinn & Co. for Sears, Roebuck and Co.'s Elgin brand. In our opinion, given its shape and size, it may have been for the bicycle. However, we can not locate prior sales or photos of the badge. It is not, incidentally, in our opinion, for the Stutz Blackhawk automobile - the emblem is different. About 2 1/2 H x 2 W x 1/2 D inches with clips
