Acme Bed Chicago Sure Rest Bed Spring Tin Tacker - We could not identify Acme Bed & Spring Co, Inc. Chicago. We did, however, identify a Acme Spring Bed Company in Chicago so, perhaps, a variant of the name. Per Google, The Sure Rest bed spring was a trademarked spring system produced by various regional mattress manufacturers in the early-to-mid 20th century. Rather than a single global entity, ”Sure Rest” was a popular brand name. It featured early innerspring technology designed to compete with the famous Simmons Beautyrest mattresses of the 1930s.
