Zilia Sanchez was born in Havana, Cuba on July 12, 1928. She resided in Spain from 1960 to 1962, lived in the U.S.A. from 1962 to 1971 and in San Juan, Puerto Rico since 1971. In her artistic work she developed mostly painting, sculpture, drawing and scenography design.
