This newspaper contained news and articles relating to religion and society, and many advertisements . Jüdisches Nachrichtenblatt began publication in 1939 and was the only Jewish newspaper allowed by the Gestapo, It was subject to intense Nazi censorship, and used as a propaganda tool to publicize the anti-Jewish laws and decrees and to promote Jewish emigration. Indeed, most of the articles and advertisements in this issue deal with the subject of emigration . Approximately 35,000 copies were printed at the time of this issue’s publication. The newspaper remained in existence until mid-1943.
