With short biographies of English rabbis and a list of Jewish communities in the British colonies. With a detailed review of the Jewish families that were members of the nobility and a detailed list of the dates of birth and death of well-known Jewish figures. Including an encyclopedia of Jewish values and essays on Jewish topics, customs, false prophets and other topics. On the final leaves are detailed indices of the topics and of Jewish figures. With many advertisements on the initial and final leaves by Jewish companies and institutions. Some of the advertisements are illustrated and give an interesting overview of the cultural life and consumption habits of English Jews in the late 19th century. The book includes valuable historical material for the research of English Jewish communities of the late 19th century.
