Signature: Claude Monet Description: A luminous outdoor composition depicting two elegantly dressed women carrying dark parasols as they walk through a richly flowering meadow, accompanied by a small child positioned beneath the trees at right. The figures are immersed within a broad field of green, yellow, red, violet, and blue wildflowers, allowing the human subjects to merge naturally with the surrounding landscape. A large tree anchors the right side of the composition, while the countryside extends toward a low horizon beneath a softly broken sky of pale blue, gray, cream, and yellow. The women's light-colored dresses are articulated through loose passages of white, lavender, blue, and green, contrasting with the darker parasols and surrounding vegetation. Rapid, broken brushwork throughout the meadow, foliage, and sky creates a shimmering sensation of changing daylight and atmospheric movement.
