LARGE PERSIAN POLYCHROME GLAZED CERAMIC VASE - A large Middle Eastern ceramic baluster vase features polychrome glaze decoration in vivid shades of green, turquoise, cobalt blue, yellow, and black over a light ground. The main body is adorned with prominent lobed medallions containing intricate vegetal arabesques, set against a continuous geometric star interlace pattern. The form includes a flared rim, a molded neck collar, and a matching pedestal foot. The unglazed base displays no visible maker marks or inscriptions. Qajar, Islamic, fritware, urn, pottery, vessel, antique, tilework, Iranian, artwork. Dimensions Height 27 1/2 in. Top rim diameter: 9 1/2 in. Condition Visible structural repair with adhesive fill along the lower waist molding above the base, accompanied by hairline cracking and minor edge chipping. Typical glaze crazing, surface pitting, and minor firing flaws throughout. Light rim abrasions and surface wear to the unglazed foot ring.
