PAUL DUBOIS FRENCH ANTIQUE BRONZE STATUE BARBEDIENNE - A fine 19th-century French patinated bronze sculpture titled ”Le Chanteur Florentin” (The Florentine Singer) by Paul Dubois (1829-1905). The well-cast figure depicts a 15th-century Renaissance youth in period attire, singing while playing a stringed lute or mandolin. Finished in a rich medium brown patina, the sculpture rests on an integral circular base finished with a beaded edge. The bronze is prominently signed ”P. DVBOIS” and bears the foundry mark ”F. BARBEDIENNE”, alongside the circular ”Reduction Mecanique A.
