ANTIQUE AMERICAN NATIONAL CASH REGISTER MODEL 313 - This antique American mechanical cash register was manufactured by the National Cash Register Company (NCR). Designated as a Model 313, the machine features a highly ornate cast brass body with scrolling foliate and floral motifs in the classic ”Dolphin” design pattern. Both the front and back bear the cast ”NATIONAL” name within a central cartouche. A riveted brass plaque beneath the keys displays the serial number 995480 above the model number 313. The register is equipped with round glass-covered push keys ranging from 10 to 90 cents alongside a $1 and ”NO SALE” key, top amount indicators housed under glass, a white marble till shelf, and a compartmentalized wooden cash drawer mounted on a wooden base. National Manufacturing Company or NCR is an American company that invented the first cash registers and massively produced them during the early 20th-century. Several glass key inserts are darkened or degraded. The upper glass panels appear intact. Mechanical functionality is untested. Four felt pads added to base.
