ANTIQUE FRENCH LIMOGES ENAMEL HUNTING SCENE VASE - An antique French Limoges vase in painted enamel on copper. Dated 19th century. Renaissance Revival style. Flared trumpet neck, bulbous body, and spreading circular foot, the sections are divided by raised gilt-and-white scrolled borders at the neck and shoulder. The neck is painted with landscape vignettes showing classical ruins among trees. The body depicts a multi-figure hunting scene. The foot is painted with scrolling white foliate strapwork on the black ground, with gilt banding throughout at the neck, waist, and foot rims. Unsigned.
