ART NOUVEAU WELLER POTTERY SICARDO IRIDESCENT VASE - An antique glazed pottery vase by Weller Pottery. Sicardo ware. Elongated vase with wide shoulder, decorated overall in iridescent metallic luster glaze with stylized foliate and floral motifs in peacock blue, emerald green, deep purple, and rose. Etched signature on the side. Sicardo ware was developed by French ceramicist Jacques Sicard, who was brought to Weller Pottery in Zanesville, Ohio around 1900, with the line produced roughly 1902–1907 and Sicard had studied iridescent glazing techniques under Clement Massier in France.
