PAIR OF ANTIQUE BOHEMIAN GILDED GREEN GLASS VASES - A pair of matching Bohemian glass vases. Dated 19th century. Dark blue opaline glass. Baluster body on a spreading trumpet foot, worked in the overlay technique: an opaque white glass layer over a green glass ground, with sections cut or reserved away to reveal the green beneath, creating an alternating arched panel pattern around the shoulder and body. The white ground is further decorated with fine gilt scrollwork resembling feathered or fern-like fronds within each panel, and the green reserves are densely gilt with scrolling foliate arabesques.
