IMPERIAL RUSSIAN LORIE 56 GOLD SAPPHIRE DIAMOND EARRINGS - An Imperial Russian Art Nouveau openwork drop earring pair crafted in silver-topped 56 zolotnik gold (14k), manufactured by the firm of Feodor Lorie (F.A. Lorie) in Moscow between 1899 and 1917. Each chandelier-style drop centers an oval-cut deep blue sapphire framed within an intricate, scrolling foliate lattice set with old European-cut and rose-cut diamonds, suspended from a bezel-set old-cut diamond surmount and hinged lever-back ear wire. The ear wires bear Russian 56 zolotnik purity marks and the ”ФЛ” maker's punch for Feodor Lorie. The pair is presented in its original navy leatherette fitted case, featuring a silk-lined interior lid stamped in gold Cyrillic lettering ”Ф. А. ЛОРIЕ / Кузнецкiй мостъ № 4 / МОСКВА” (F. A.
