VICTORIAN GOLD SEED PEARL RUBY BIRD LOCKET PENDANT - An antique 19th-century Victorian yellow gold shield-shaped locket pendant. The front face is decorated with hand-engraved scrollwork borders and a rolled-corner drape accent, over which is mounted a three-dimensional bird in flight set with seed pearls and a ruby eye. Below the bird, dimensional floral stems are set with split seed pearls and centered by a star-set faceted pinkish-red stone. The reverse features an oval hinged frame fitted with a glass cover opening to reveal an empty glazed photo or memento compartment.
